It has been the year of the mix CD for me.
My friends seem to have increddibly good taste and so far have introduced me to :-
Sonic Youth, The Ex, Ween, Bobby Conn, Coco Rosie, The Walkmen, The Animal Collective, Joan Baiez, Gonsalez, Skip James......oh, not forgetting Chumbawumba.
I too am counting Funeral as recent cause I've not had it for very long.

it's about 20 years old and the reissue came out last year but I'm adding "Another Thought" by Arthur Russell as it's just that good. seriously, it's a man and his cello making the most lovely sounds... i'm gonna go listen again now. makes a change from the sludge-metal i've had on for the last hour  |
