i don't think anyone doesn't like the clash!
they just weren't very punk after a while.

Do you have conclusive proof that The Exploited are gluesniffers or ar you just steretyping them as stereotypes ?. 1 song ?, people say/said stuff like that about jazz/rap etc

weeeeeeell....
all i meant was that the Exploited are the archetypal punk band in that they were all spit and no actual musical skill. I say "1 song" because most people casually into punk only actually know Punk's Not Dead and would struggle to name any more than that really.

As several of my favourite punk bands are missing, I'm going to vote for my favourite one that isn't.
I can't believe no one has voted for the Undertones.
I vote Buzzcocks.

I've decided to weigh in with my vote.
I have gone for Iggy & The Stooges as without them punk may have never happened. (waits to be proved wrong)
Iggy Pop is a legend as well.

No musical talent ? They must be doing something right to be known across the world. And the guitarist, Big John, went on to global superstardom in Goodbye Mr Mackenzie. I saw an ex bass player from them in an excellent play with Tam Dean Burn playing William Burroughs perfectly.
I think you're just jealous.

Urmm, no ones mentioned the 'Boomtown Rats' or 'Pickled Hamster'.
Loved the first 'Stranglers' album and the drummer out of the 'Damned'.
And the 'Longpigs'.
Not to mention Creakymates band 'Pigbros'

are you honestly saying The Exploited were a great band musically? jesus!
they are fun to rock out to, but I'm more of a Crass man...

I'd choose Crass 9 times to The Exploited 1 but you seem to be rising to it so I'll stick with The Exploited as being more talented than Hendrix and The Beatles combined.

I'd say the Damned but will give my vote to the Undertones : they don't deserve 0 vote !

A bit late, but there you go. I've voted other. I don't know much about punk but have just discovered The Ex....and they have totally grabbed me. Don't think you can get more punk than these guys. Check out their history. www.theex.nl

I saw The Ex live about 91/92 and they were brilliant. Like everything else that I've ever done it has a tedious anecdote attached. Rather than bore everyone on here with it I'll PM it to you so you can suffer alone.
