How did you spend your Sunday?
I went on a mission with my dad up to Buckinghamshire to get a car. Then I came home and had some chicken, and read the Observer.

I bought the independent and snorted at him giving the soppy new british sea power album 5/5 while completely failing to understand Fischerspooner and chucking it a 3.5/5. Simon Price is going rubbish lately.
I went to the pub for coffee and breakfast but they had no coffee or food so me & Miss Waistcoat came back here and listened to Bishi and Nick Cave. I missed a double episode of Enterprise and was pissed off. I revamped the orders section of Brainlove Records.
Good day!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Sunday.

I got up late ;D Had some toast, decided to watch the Grand Prix which wasn't so bad as Grand Prix's go. Then went out to play football in the mist and drizzle, there was only 5 of us so we played heads and volleys. I wasn't even subjected to botties once ;D Went back to a mates for a few hours, laughed at the intro of Enterprise and was glad not to watch the rest of it . We played Mario Kart and SNES ;D I went back home for tea (beef stir-fry) Now I'm on the internet (talking to strange people ;D)and playing Footie manager (c'mon Villarreal!) I'm currently listening to the Evens.

I went with my friend Neil to the southbank to photograph some people doing Free Running, or Pakour as it is known in France. You know, acrabatics and leaping over buildings type stuff.
It was really interesting, I got quite into the philosophy behind it. I like the idea of exploring our urban environments in this way. So much so that when I talked to my house mate about it we got inspired to have a go ourselves. So we recruited our friend sarah who came round for tea and formed the first ladys free running society of Dalson and set of for our local park. It was very funny. My housemate is doing a stand up comedy course at the moment. She now has lots of new material. I also played frizbee (another word I can't spell) and ate an ice-cream.
I am also currently on the internet. But am going to go shortly to see what the fifty best comedy sketches of all time are.

We tried free running in our village once then realised that you can only really do it in the park.
The programs Jump London and Britain were facinating though.

Ahhhh...ladybird!! You'll have to notify Bill Oddie. That was one of the things to look out for on Spring Watch the other day.
How may spots does it have?
Am definately going to watch these documentaries. This one kid earlier was amazing. So fluid, it was brilliant to watch.
Oh yeah...saw Tom Vek last night, and met up with SCL, Bamos + lady. And Prole was there too. He lives about 40 seconds away from me. How strange.

It has two spots. It's very symmetrical. Just finished OceanRain's CD. It's come out very mournful and arty. Not sure why. These things just take on a life of their own, don't they?

Surely you mean Oceanstorm - don't want to end up sending it to the states, do you?
I dunno what to send Pad1. Seems like he only likes safe, "classic" stuff. Apart from Explosions in the Sky, I have nothing to work with.

I got up late.
I got into a very long conversation about how stupid parents are.
I got angry with the BBC for having no dissenting voices on the subject of "the overwhelming wonderfulness of the dead pope".
I stood on our balcony with my housemate watching trendy young professionals lounging around the pub, and realised how much I hate giant sunglasses.
I went to Bayswater and bought some CDs I couldn't afford.
I made potato and spinach curry, because one of my housemates is awkwardly vegetarian.
I went on DiS and badmouthed the pope some more. And contributed to the Art forum.
I wondered why News 24 was on loop.
I failed to get the smell of coriander and lime off my fingers.
I wished I had some weed left.
So the moral for today - always remember, we're all dead popes now.

Yeah I have been pope bashing today too. there was someone on the BBC last night saying they didn't like him. Quite brave in the current climate. I really seriously dislike the guy and many of the things he stood for. I don't care that he is dead. That may sound callous, but like I have said, old men far better than him die every day, without a media fanfare.

I got up just as we hit the afternoon. Listened to Buffalo Daughter-New Rock album which arrived from America a couple of days ago. The guy I bought it from on eBay had also stuck in a mixdisc. Listened to that and contacted him to say he should join our club. Will send him a link to DiS. I'd sent a guy in Italy a copy of my DiS2 comp when I sold him a cd the week before last.
Listened to a Cordelia Records comp I'd bought then my lovely thick vinyl copy of Alan Jenkins and the Thurston Lava Tube album-Free Surf Music#2 I'd bought from them as well. I was sold into buying it by a combination of the cover photo of a naked vomiting lady and song titles like Pies, Pies, The Sky Is All Pies, The Machine's Just Set Up For Poisonous Foam and Hairy Japanese Bastards.
Watched what looked like Eastern European asylum seekers having a totally commited game of football in the park across the road from me. Then two responsible local adults called the police and had them removed so that 4 toddlers could chase a football and two kids could ride BMXs on the pitch for 15 minutes. The male adult stayed, arms folded on bench to make sure the foreign types didn't return then took his kid and ball home after a maximum of 15 minutes. Fully expecting him to return and do the same with the 24/7 shellsuited underage Buckfast wielding neds who have commandeered the park, but then again....
Didn't bother getting dressed or going out today. Bought a James Carr album on eBay. Need to try and dig out some kind of semiacceptable clothing for my grans funeral on Tuesday, probably black jeans, shoes, a shirt and a suit jacket.
Finished Halo2 about 4am and have started a Conflict Vietnam game. I know most board members are veterans of that particular rumpus, some fighting on both sides simultanously.
Ears still ringing a bit from seeing Conflict last night.

Fellalady. any chance of seing any of those photos?
I loved Jump London, Jump Britain's in my pile of vids to watch, but apparently it's not as good. Not as many of the original Francais, and a bunch of 'home-grown talent' who weren't as good.
When we were watching Jump London my old housemate was talking some total nonsesne, like "they're not giving enough credit to skateboarding", and he was moaning about the way they'd filmed/edited/graded it, even though it was amazing! Then again, he was a mentalist.

has it just been an extremely slow news week? surely they have dragged out this "pope is very ill".."pope is nearly dead".."pope is officially dead" thing long enough now. i mean, people that make real positive changes in the world nearly always go unnoticed when passing away. i think the world needs to wake up and stop allowing itself to be brainwashed
