Another Music In A Different Kitchen is a good album. Haven't heard it in ages. Will need to stick on the 2nd hand vinyl copy I got about 18 months ago and haven't played yet. Singles Going Steady is a really good album, even though it's a singles compilation.
Went to see Lambchop in Glasgow 3 years ago. Heard the distinctive bass intro and realised they were doing a cover of the Buzzcocks-Why Can't I Touch It ?

I think the question should be asked: what is a buzzcock? Answers on a postcard.

It must be a euphemism for a.....ahem.....ladies' aid, in my opinion.

careful...talking bout the buzzcocks might make me go into remenice mode....when I was a lad...etc.... seriously though they could have been the soundtrack to my life as a youngster.... "I'm in love again, been like this before, I'm in love again, this times true I'm sure" seemed really really apt to me, I've still never heard another bloke say that it felt like that for them in their youth.
Saw a film not long ago...'Whatever happened to Harold Smith'.....great film...loads of buzzcocks tracks, perfect in that film cos it seemed so much like my youth culturally.
I have probably owned all/most of the buzzcocks material at one point or another, including the Peel sessions, but I don't get anal about it...their most important legacy is their singles of pure pop punk energy. I'm puzzled over why blink/sum/offspring can exist serving up their energy depleted singles after the buzzcocks example. Pete Shelley released a track called Homo Sapien....which was mixed by Martin Rushent....at the time it sounded fantastic, since then I guess mixing/production has move on, but it still sounds great to me.
