Joined ebay yesterday. Already regretting not bidding on a Fender. Started bidding on cds. I've won one auction so far, Man Or Astro Man, but when I fell asleep someone outbid me on a Cocteau Twins cd. Who are these heartless bastards ? Are they the DiS trolls ? Should outbidding the 12p bids of REAL music types like ourselves be made illegal ?
Any tales of trauma, heartbreak and dissapointment on ebay will be met with tutting and a knowing nod of dissaproval.

I have become a bit disillusioned with eBay over the last few weeks, there no longer seem to be any bargains. But it is still the best place for me to pick up my vintage keyboards.

Watching the scammers on it, rubbing the Squier logo off guitars and trying to sell them as Fenders after putting on a sticker. Also the people advertising music as rare, yeah mate, that was a number one single, must be about 12 in existence.

Best to bid as high as you are willing to go right aweay, either that or staple your eyelids open and bid in the final minute to fend off the sharpshooter types who pick off auctions at the last gasp.

There are a few good bargains still to be found.
I fully believe though that you only buy little things from E-Bay, don't spend more than £10.
Have got some good NES and SNES games for a quid. I find it more useful for finding rare things now.
International Cricket - Best game ever ;D

All that plastic crap I'm wearing on my avatar was bought on ebay. It's a great source for - skinny ties, obscure 7"s and obscure and bizarre plastic facewear.

Me too. I have pretty much given up on jeans and t-shirts. Pinstripe, sarcastic bright jumpers, sharp lapelled shirts and skinny ties...
