Just got round to listening to the album - why is everyone talking about them? Seems a bit crap. Like, the most derivative Cure-tribute band of all the recent derivative Cure tribute bands.

They're more 80s than the Breakfast Club and sound like Duran Duran gone hair metal.
Plus they are the most stereotypical 'hipsters' ever.
This is why it's good.

Before i knew the indie Walkmen, i knew of the rap group the Walkmen, who put out records sampling Star Wars and the A Team. They were from Florida and called the A Team one "The FLA-Team". It was quite good. The End.

Suffice to say though, Battle are utter fucking shite, and their fucking name should not even be used on the same fucking site as The Walkmen, let alone in the same fucking sentence. Fucks.
