How many on here are gamers ?
I'm dealing with a stinking cold and major toothache by cosying up with Doom3 on the XBox. It's very life affirming.

I have an Xbox but that just means that the only games I play are Pro Evo and Project Gotham Racing.
I completed Halo too soon and Halo 2 was shitebags.
and that's it.
games cost waaaaaaaay too much, so i say fuck em.

I'll kick anyones ass at Pro Evo, in any of it's incarnations, on any format. Maybe. Apart from the eggs box. I can't ever get used to that double-fistfull of plastic that passes for a controller.

Civ III will never end. You will play until your eyes bleed and fall out and then you will get a council-funded carer and make them play it for you until they in turn go blind and start convulsing on the floor, blood-flecked spittle frothing on their lips.
Great game though. Be Babylon and use your archers for early advantage. Kill everyone! Hahahaaaaha.
Fuck! I can't see.

it was on PC a few years ago...it's probably going cheap.
i liked to cheat, build up an arsenal of nukes and bomb the shit out of everyone.
Streetfighter type 2D fighting games are the BEST THINGS EVER! Marvel Vs Capcom 2 in particular, gotta love the dreamcast!

I'll kick anyones ass at Pro Evo, in any of it's incarnations, on any format. Seriously? I will spank you at it. I also win at Street Fighter and most other games, it's sad but it might actually be my talent in life to be good at games. I have lost several days playing Championship (Football) Manager.

Every six months or so I will buy a game, and play it none stop for about a week until it's finished. Like Metroid, Pikmin, Halo etc. But then my console will sit gathering dust for 6 months until I get the urge again. I stopped when I split with my ex, because we used to both sit and play turns and watch each other playing etc, and it seemed a bit crap by myself so I haven't even unpacked my X-box. I was near the end of Halo. I bet I've forgotten how to play it now. And I got the the last boss on Metroid and found it so frustrating I had to quit because otherwise it would have been flying joypad time.
That said, I picked up Tetris for my GBA the other day for £2, and have been playing it obsessively trying to get over 350,000 to get the big space shuttle. Retro games are fun.
I have a Saturn, N64, PS1 and SNES in the loft. And a Gamecube which is still with the ex.

i don't know how anybody can play the x-box, let alone fit it in their house or carry it. its a fucking monster. i like my PS2 (except that it jumps when both controllers are in). 2D fighting games for the PS1 are the ultimate. there was some really cheap american version of soul calibur or something that i used to play years ago. it was amazing. really shoddy graphics and awful mario-esque music but it had the best fighting moves and it was really easy to remember what buttons to press for the combos. i can't remember what it's called though.
