bumrocks.com currently have a Lithuanian disco band's album up, 20jazzfunkgreats.blogspot.com have the best taste ever and Fluxblog has all kinds of great shit you've never heard of.

I remember back in the first year of highschool we used to have these Discos, and the spinmaster at the wheels of steel would have one of those light message systems with the message "For a funking good time, call DJ Dave on...."

It was quite shocking at the age of 11. Kids these days would probably have stabbed him, and sold his records to buy Pay As You Go top-ups.

One of the kids in my class, his father was such a DJ and the school booked him twice for shitty discos. It's always embarrassing to have your parents at school in front of the other kids so having your dad DJ the fucking Birdy Song to 12 year olds must have caused hideous mental and emotional damage that still affects him now.
