i did actually laugh out loud at one point in the cinema where sam and frodo give eachother this "tender" look and it looks like sam is gonna lean in for a snog. I got shushed by a crying person.

haha. that bit was pretty sad though the funniest bit was when pippin was singing. hahah...i was crying with laughter.

I still have Enid Blytons somewhere at home when i first read LOTR i finished it in about 3 days and cried when i had finished cos i was sad it was over.
