Joanna Newsom. Beautiful harp, great songs - voice like nails down a blackboard. I have to disagree. The first time I heard Joanna Newsom was on Jools Holland's TV show. I hadn't heard of her previous to that and had no idea what to expect. After Jools introduced her and the harp started I thought it was very pleasant, and then suddenly her voice . It literally made me jump inside. Wonderful. Totally unexpected and amazing.

I like her and the way she sings the word abominably.
Not sure how easy it would be to listen to the whole album in one sitting, might limit her to compilations only.

I'm the only one who hears her and wants to hurt things?

Am I the only one who's never heard anything by her? And isn't particularly bothered by this?

I don't think it's that bad. Works well in small doses, in fact. It's just that, as with anything that affected, it tends to grate after a while.
