Has anyone had any dealings with small indie distribution (CD's/Vinyl) comps? I'm looking at you Brainlove

Hello.
I haven't actually had anything distributed, but I have had dealings with such people. We came close to a deal with Cargo for the first Brainlove compilation, but it never quite happened, which was fair enough as it was the first thing I had released and I was a little (!) inexperienced.
For real indie-of-all-indie small scale releases, I guess look at Shellshock, Norman's, those sort of people. I think having solid plans for PR, to get press, and a bit of advertising money helps put their minds at rest that it'll be worth their while to do it. Because you may actually shift a few that way.
I'm hoping with a bit more experience now, a good press list etc, our second compilation will be properly distributed, and maybe even sell a few. We sold out of the last one eventually, some even went over to America and stuff.
There's a good resource for such things at the fat-cat records website in their DIY section.
