Bandages is the one good song they will ever do I reckon ... Whoah, harsh. But their album sucked the big one. I lobe bandages. It's fun if you sing along to it and replace the words bandages with 'sandwiches'.
(edit - 'lobe' was meant to say love but lobe looks funny so I am leaving it. It's totally lobing.)

lobe! I lobe it!
I though that "..Breakdown" had some corking tunes actually, 'Oh No' is ace, classic sing/shout when pissed song "NOOOOOOOOObody laaaikes, uh chaiuhled! Who complayayayayans!" and such, and that other song what goes "You are my only girl but your not my owner girl" is *ahem* totally boning! There's some other greats on it.
Wooo just had a cheeky download of the Maximo Park album, wow mama it's good!

I bought "...Breakdown" on the back of "Bandages", and I never quite liked it as much as I thought I would. I mean, it has a pack of great tunes, charisma, energy, sparkly production... but something's missing. Somehow it just felt a bit... soulless. That sounds really harsh but I don't mean it to be - it just never dragged me in quite enough.
Still, one of the better '80s revival records of recent years. Worth a look if it's on sale or whatever...

I really really liked the album, to be honest a lot more than I thought I would. I thought they'd be a one-hit wonder, took a punt on the album for £7 or something in Fopp....and fuck me, I loved it.
Short, sharp, to the point, no messing around brilliance. It's lobing to the max.
