OK. FUCK the major labels. I'm sick of being spoonfed acceptable forms of music by bands that have been carefully vetted for cross-market appeal, packaged, polished, put in new clothes, over-produced and forced down my throat on CD:UK and NMETV and fucking T4 with wanker kaye linking every programme like a cunt. The Kaiser Poos are the most vacuous fame-hungry no-brainers I have come across since... Menswear, or something. But Menswear had better songs! And better fucking hair (hit 'em where it hurts). There is a world of independent music out there that's easily reachable because of the internet especially... I got sent a CD today by ddd, it's the first release on a new micro-skint label (a little like brainlove) called One Hundred Records. It is a rough and ragged production of one man screaming over distorted acoustic guitar. And it's fucking brilliant. We don't need music nicely wrapped up for us by business fuckers. Grassroots is real, made by real people with real fucking passion and heart, and I wanna support them. </rant> www.onehundredrecords.co.uk

Menswear played a gig at the Wedgies in Pompey once, I worked in the sandwich bar opposite... I quite fancied Chris at the time and made him a very nice chicken tikka salad baguette when they came in.
Nice boys.
Daaaaydreeamer - I wish I still had that!!

Oh - and yes I agree, the best stuff I've heard recently has been from people like this.

Reading articles about Dischord is really intresting to see how they do things. It's also really inspiring stuff.
Some absolutly ace music on there as well.
