Playing in Brum tonight, I have free tickets that arrived this morning. But nobody is free to come, it's an hour each way, it's raining, and I don't like their new album, but I do like the band and would be interested to see if a live show could swing my opinion, but I'm fucking tired and I hate going to gigs by myself... argh

I'm not going. I find going to gigs alone quite stressful and I never know what do to with myself, and I'm not up to it lately I've been busy and stressed anyway. I feel guilty not using the tickets though. Hope it isn't sold out. Errr where is your review for Mr. Pot? Brainlove needs one now....

Is Open Season not any good then? Pitchfork were comparing it to Bossonova which made it sound appealing to me.....I really liked the Decline of...Carrion is a superb tune & there aren't too many British bands I find to my taste that make decent records these days like BSP. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places?
I saw BSP when they toured the Decline of & thought they were ace. The wartime radio samples between songs & the video projection all added to the gig brilliantly.

I am writing a review of 'Open Season' right now.
I loved 'The Decline...'
But this seems so goddamn lily-livered by comparison...
I might have use that phrase in the review.
