Bought tickets today to see Weird War at Glasgows Nice'n'Sleazys next month.
Haven't heard them but saw Nation Of Ulysses and The Make Up live and enjoyed both, NOU were brilliant.
Went online to buy albums there but having problems getting the thing to add postal fees as well.
Anyone know them and have an opinion they'd care to share ?
Also got ticket for The Immortal Lee County Killers in the same venue two nights before it. Looking forward to both.

I've never heard him and with a name like that he sounds like an Irish nazi. Thought about hiding in the toilets or the cupboard in the instore record shop to try and scam it but didn't. My loss I assume.

I got WITW today for the music and video exchange - it had only gone down by £1 in about 3 weeks, but I thought "what the hell". I don't know why everybody says it's darker the Lycanthropy, doesn't seem like it to me (Childcatcher, anybody?). His voice also sounds far more refined.

I think it's just the mood of it. The themes are often being trapped and stuck and scared and lonely on WITW. Except Tristan and Lands End.
There were dizzy, manic highs on Lycanthropy. Wind In The Wires seems to be about lows.
He sounds more grown up now. Well, he is more grown up I guess..
This isn't particularly insightful. *yawn* I'm tired.

I've only listened to it once so far, although it's been left sitting on top of the turntable for future reference. Did enjoy your comp at the time though, John.
Fullerov, I still haven't played your tape yet, that's also been left sitting next to the hifi.
Bamos, thanks for the loan of the Chumbawamba cd. Recorded Pictures Of Starving Children on an unfinalised disc after Kraftwerks Autobahn album. CDR didn't seem to agree with my choice and refuses to finalise the disc, meaning I can only play it on the CDR which is a good 4 inches above the cd player. Will get another copy done and get it posted back to you asap.
SCL haven't played your DiS comp in a couple of weeks but it was a good one.
Wiggles, sorry your discs you sent to me were blagged in the post, will get my address back to you.
Coastal, thanks for the discs, haven't listened to some of them yet, falling behind, and I'll get that other Aisler Set album done for you asap.
Have been doing a lot of bidding on eBay. Keep getting pipped at the post for Cornelius and a Breeders ep, but I seem to be winning the death metal ones I bid on. Not sure if this is a good thing.

I've got the new LP already very good, especially "Mental Poisoning".
