my goodness, what *have* i been missing out on at ye olde DiS.... fucking hell. that was the most equally funny and yet disturbing thing i have read in ages. yeesh. i actually know that somebodytoldme isn't a troll, and thought that he was a relatively okay, if boring, person (he added me to msn, am sending him a mixtape in an attempt to widen his taste... ) but JESUS (no pun intended) is he stupid. yikes. i have never seen someone disregard logic as blatanly as that...it actually worries me to know that people still think that way. Still pay no attention to anything but what some book (that may or may not be made up) says. at least ralphcore is amusing... ;D that alphabet thread was beyond classic, and did you see the "No. i understood from the beggining but decided not to join the battywagon in an effort to keep the thread anti-ralph bashing! it didnt work. and i hate you." awwwww! kevin the teenager ;D the more i read cadd's posts, the more i am convinced that he is the most hilarious thing to come out of scotland since vegetarian haggis. and he gave me directions to patrick wolf. yay!

I just read the Ralphcore thread and am now boiling with righteous indignation, and could not resist a rant. John I think if anything you're being too tolerant . I guess maybe I'm a post-liberal! As I see it, their homophobia contributes to a climate which makes life for homosexual people needlessly difficult. We may not be able to stop people from having these opinions, but I don't think they have any right to express them or any others, any more than I have a right to go around assaulting people. They are in many senses contributing to the physical harm of other people. The fact that they aren't physically assaulting people is an arbitrary distinction if you're being "post-humanist". Their opinions have to justify themselves, or at least subject themselves to some kind of accessible public reason test, or they are just nonsense. In truly progressive society it would be incumbent on us to argue ralphcore and somebodytoldme into the ground until they is forced to abandon their stinking nazi hate-views, but I guess positivist dialectics never worked. Mmmmmph.

Thank you for summing up what I think so I don't have to type anything. I get bored and write things I regret during internet rants.

Thank you for summing up what I think so I don't have to type anything. I get bored and write things I regret during internet rants. i just know exactly what i think, but can't phrase it succiently enough for it to come across the way i want it to. meh. and about that haggis, chyah, you're making me explain this therefore it loses the point. the point! the point is, that the whole point (point point point) of haggis is that is it made of goat/sheep innards or whatever. therefore, a vegetarian haggis is a hilarous concept (not really...) because it defeats its own purpose. vegetarian haggis can't exist. but it does... that made no sense. hence the above statement. blah.
