... are playing the Truck Festival. Little surprise, as they're on the label, but I revisited their album ("Trademark Want More") and I have to say, it's the most perfect pop album. When I first heard it, I kinda dismissed it a little because of the Pet Shop Boys similarity, but I found myself wanting to listen to it all the time, and then got completely obsessed by how brilliant it is. Plus, the singer is a lovely fella (he produced the abandoned $hit album). www.trademark-online.co.uk/MP3s/hold%20that%20thought.mp3I can't wait to see them again! So cool. They have lab coats and a big perspex plug. Yay! This record cheers me up. If you can find Interim anywhere, give it a listen - an undiscovered pop classic. You can buy it in the iTunes shop for a few pence.

wow. it's very...British.
it's a lot like Martin Gore, with less of the acrobatics and nonsense.

British! Definitely. Oli makes me think of David Byrne and a kinda young Bowie a little bit. I know David Byrne is mostly American. But he seems English. But then wasn't he born in Scotland? Hmm anyway. I got completely fixated on 'Interim' in a way that doesn't happen very often. I love it, loads.

i see where you're coming from on the david byrne - the synthy/drumbeaty bits give me very 80's pop vibes. like it, but might take me a little while to love it and david byrne was indeed born in scotland. yay! almost as good as cadd
