Scandinavia (and Iceland by proxy seeing they're Nordic too):
Annie Shining Royksopp The Knife 6ft tall blonde women Non-blonde Swedes are even prettier Henrik Larsson Freddie Ljungberg Bjork & Sugarcubes Jari Litmanen Mika Hakkinen Kimi Raikkonen Keke Rosberg all those rally drivers Hitler thought they were kings on Earth - they would have literally owned us The Cranberries? Ikea the guy who invented milk cartons They all speak English I have never met a non-friendly Scandinavian - what's with the generosity? They have definable SEASONS! Northerners are their decendents - clearly had an early "exile the ugly" policy Thor Swedish Eurovision entries - CAMPNESS A GO GO! Decent amounts of snow Copenhagen looks nice As does Stockholm A Swede runs our football team
I'll stop now. I think I've proved my point.
And Shining are the best band I've heard in a long time - Post-rock jazz dance!

Copenhagen is an ace city, it was the highlight of my month long Interail journey. The only downside is that it's quite expensive. Had an actual pissup in the Carlsberg brewery as well -there's a museum section, then a bar. Free entry, and you get given 2 free beer-tokens. This Canadian I met said that him and his mate had just kept going back to the start and picking up more tokens, these crazy American girls we were with went one better, and just stole a huge wad of the tokens. Fun was had.
I met some friendly Finns in Budapest as well, they were hulk men tho! about a foot taller than me, and a foot wider.

I went to Stockholm last year and it was beautiful and so clean. One downside to the Swedes tho is their lack of ability to cut loose, they don't party like we do. One thing that may affect that is that booze is sold from chemist like places which shut at midday from Saturday through till Monday so you can only go and buy overpriced stuff from bars or SUPER weak lager from the supermarket. Weird. The Danes on the other hand like to drink and party just as much as the English.....
I want to go to iceland.

I was going to mention Refused, and Cult of Luna, and Mum, and Efterklang. And my three housemates from Copenhagen, who are lovely people; all horribly attractive.

Lets all save up some pennies and organise a forum trip to various Scandanavian countries.

My Criminology lecturer reckons Scotland is becoming more and more Scandinavian. And Scandinavia is basically Mecca for criminologists, so that's actually a pretty big compliment

Two lovely Swedish twins came 1st and 2nd in the indoor hurdles recently!
My Uni had a large number of Swedish, Norweigian and Finnish (mainly doing some physiotheraphy course) and a lot of them played football - but thankfully they didn't look like the butch gals we tend to see here ;D I think a couple of the Norweigian gals played for Norway in the Olympics!
Has anyone been to Iceland Airwaves? I was meant to go last year but my friend (who I was going with) passed away.
