Mine was Serenity. It was surprisingly good.
What was yours?

I love Serenity!
Did you ever watch Farscape - The Peacekeeper Wars?
I found it bloody brilliant. There's more in there about humanity between those Jim Henson puppets and explosions than you'd find in lots of more serious films...

Opera Jawa - two hours of Indonesian opera.. Completely stunning though, amazing cinematography and the whole thing is perfectly choreographed. The music is this brilliant mix of traditional Indonesian with bits of electronic and blues which actually managed to stay in my head for hours after. And theres some really beautiful erotic but completely non explicit scenes too. It's good! I came out really disorientated and enchanted by it

I love Serenity, but the last film I say was Waking Life, I've had a copy on DVD for ages but never got round to watching it and I was pretty impressed.
It was patchy in places, but some of the ideas stayed with me, and I can't seem to shake off the confusion between dream and reality.
Me and Stu are trying to lucid dream a lot now!

Me and Alice hired Diner, Bringing Up Baby and Stardust Memories by Woody Allen.
All brilliant.
Diner: a real genuine classic smalltown America movie from the 80's. Stardust Memories: Allen's take on Fellini - all the weight, confusion and surreal gloom, interspersed with light comedy (!) Bringing Up Baby: A fantastic comedy-of-errors that unravels absolutely perfectly.
