He is just about my favourite artist at the moment. I like his drawings and most of them make me laugh so much/make me feel awkward. I cut out all his little sketches from the Saturday Guardian magazine, just like when I used to cut the Garfield strips out of my dads Daily Express as a kid. Maybe one day I will splice them together.
Please go and buy the Who I am and What I want DVD. It is a short piece of animation done by him and the guy who did the stare out animation on Big Train. It is also voiced by Kevin Eldon!

I think he's great.
My friend has a brilliant story from when he met him. Do you want to hear it?

That makes it a win win situation for me. You said kitchen board, my mistake. I'm not so interested in pictures of them. There okay I guess, just not up there with the fridge, which is probably the best kitchen appliance. With magnets you can put up all sorts of art and reminders, and its good for keeping things chilled!

Hello fans. I return. Avec STORY.
Basically, my mate went to a signing in Borders on Charing X (<- time saving) Road and whilst Shrigley were sat at his little table in the midst of the store awaiting adoring publics a surly old lady strode over to his vantage point and said "oh, I say, do you know where the art books are?" *posh hand flourish* (she thought that he was an employeeeeee you seeeeee).
His response = "No"
After this incident, my friend (who watched the old lady imbroglio with keen interest) then went up to said artist and asked politely whether Shrigley might draw a cartoon of what occurred.
Sure enough the man obliged. And my friend now owns an original Shrigley of some haggard hag going "do you know where the art books are?" and some bloke at a table going "no".
Only Shrigley could make that funny.

Said friend also owns a David Shrigley bus pass holder, upon one side it says:
And on t'other:
(See I have left if blank because I cannot remember what it says. It's funny though.)

And jeffreytwigg is an ungrate for making me do all that and not commenting.
Do you think it's because I spelt his name wrong?

I didn't want to mention this but because my work computer is a "bender" it won't show those pictures. I CAN'T SEE THEM BUT I REALLY WANT TO!

i like that DVD muchly.
i think my favourite bit is the cave. Or where he digs up his own corpse.
There's an interview with Shrigley on it that not only says who the inspiration for the character is but also gives out his name and address.
