It seems much less ridiculous than the first one, to me anyway. You make a good point about how easily Scarecrow is defeated, but also, I kind of liked that. I've always wanted to direct an anti-film, where the hero gets killed in the first 3 minutes, and then it ends.

That would be cool. I like it when the bad guys win. Like at the end of Dawn Of The Dead... flying off into the night over a zombie infested wasteland, with only enough fuel for a few more hours... brilliant.

I got a £10 gift voucher because of the scratched DVD if anyone wants to try it for a free month. Does this offer still stand John? I saw The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada last night. This has recieved five stars everywhere. It was pretty average I thought. I may have missed something, but I don't think I did. 6/10

It's yours! When are you next over? Come over soon. Maybe we can facilitate the handover of said voucher with the eating of Cadd's curry recipe and the watching of a film.

Garden State - 4/5 Nicely real seeming suburban coming-of-age drama. Natalie Portman can finally act again! What exactly happened between Leon and now? (answer: George Lucas and his crock of shit Star Wars movies)
2046 - 5/5 Beautiful, mysterious, cryptic, stylish, seductive. Spells in which not a lot seems to happen, but it just looks so good... it´s more about the look and the textures at times than the narrative, so I can see people getting bored if they aren´t into that. I loved it though. Loved it. Watching it again before it goes back actually.

I got impatient and joined Love Film last week. I've just recieved Adaptation and Life is Beautiful which I'm going to watch over the weekend.
Online rental is great.

Adaptation - 4/5 Excellent dialogue. I liked Nicholas Cage, but it kinda got too silly at the end. I bought an Orchid at the weekend coincidentally. Life is Beautiful - 5/5 I loved this film. Smart, funny and managed to avoid obvious emotional devices. I was balling my eyes out by the end though which was abit embarrasing. If you don't like crying in front of people watch it on your own. Next, a Bobbygeorge double bill - Lantana and Mean Girls.

I really liked Lantana. I'm not with you at all on Mean Girls though BG.
