Is it any good then? Are there sentimental parts that make you wanna vomit? Are there action sequences that make you wanna cheer out loud? Has he pulled it off (a la Episode II)? Or is it turd (a la Episode I)?

It's OK.
I think most of my arguement has already been said, it's flashy, with shit acting. The dights are cool and because the evil side win (like Empire Strikes Back) it makes it all the more enjoyable. Not a patch on the originals but the best of the three prequel ones.
Viva Sin City on Friday...

there's a good "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" moment too, although it doesnt have a patch on Mark "Hamsterface" Hamill's when his hand gets cut off.

OK, I saw it, I had to really. I thought it was a truly dreadful film. A sad moment for cinema, in which spectacle and effects power completely overtook the need for a story, believable characters or a compelling plot. Like the recent Manics albums. Yuck.
Bad taste in my mouth. Horrible.
I enjoyed the actiony bits I guess.
*sigh*

Oh dear...
How on earth can you spend so much on the look of a film but seemingly deem it necessary to spend £2.27 on the scriptwriting? The initial scenes looked great but it's so overblown and worthless. Those little droids that attack starfighters were pathetic, a useless plot device that simply fits nowhere into later Star Wars mythology. Lucas just can't have a simple fight scene, he has to expand it, overblow it and turn it into this hideous piece of glossy filth.
Good parts --------------
-Ewen McGregor is pretty good, he hams it up in some parts but the final scenes battling Vader is wonderful. He genuinely sounds hurt emotionally by Anakin's betrayal of the Jedi.
-The opera scene is fabulous, Ian McDiarmid plays it splendidly, the same gravitas that Ian McKellan gives to Magneto in the X-Men flicks.
-The Jedi being slaughtered. It does give you a sense of horror. Perhaps I read too much into it but there were some definite thoughts of the Nazi atrocities against the Jews (reading too much Primo Levi recently...).
-The slaying of the Younglings. As a confirmed child hater, I loved the fact that kid Jedi were killed and the way they did it. For once, George didn't overblow it, seeing the kids standing there as Anakin looks at them, releasing his 'saber, and then the scene later with their bodies lying on the floor was excellent. It's that classic Psycho idea that something is more shocking when you don't see it, as the mind can wander and create its own scene. it's interesting that many reviews online say that this is the most shocking scene in the film, way more shocking than seeing a mostly limbless Anakin burning in front of our eyes on Mustafar, something which I thought was surprisingly graphic. Maybe it's just the whole 'kids are untouchably wonderful' thing going on...
-The effects are good, no doubt about that, the CGI is fantastic but...
Bad points -------------
-Too much CGI. The first space scenes look almost too cluttered as do later fight scenes. The scenes with grievous escaping on a gyroscope whilst being pursued by Obi-Wan Kenobi on a fucking lizard are another example of George overblowing things to a ridiculous level. Grievous himself is a total non-entity characterwise: why have a coughing cyborg wheezing through life? He possesses no menace, no threat whatsoever, and his presence adds nothing to the film.
-Natalie Portman. This chick can undoubtedly act but her talents are pissed away into the wind.
-Hayden Christensen. This man can not act for shit. he proved that in Shattered Glass and he continues on his way here showing that he is fucking terrible. Granted, he is better than he was in Attack of the Clones but his sheer lack of presence, believability and refusal to act in any other way than wooden destroys a lot of Anakin's credibility. The pivotal scenes are:
-The reunion between Padme and Anakin after months of intergalactic war. Fuck me, when I met my wife at Gatwick Airport after three and a half months apart, there was kissing, hugging, tears and sheer elation and jubilation at being reunited. Anakin meets Padme and the sheer lack of spark and charisma is mind-numbing. Anakin is a complete emotional retard, he finds it hard to confide in Padme, and one quite wonders what she ever saw in the tosspot.
-There is one scene, can't remember it precisely but I remember in the cinema laughing and being convinced it was cribbed from The League of Gentlemen.
-Vader at the end: as if he'd fucking go on about Padme. That Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo is awful. He walks like he's abotu to shit his costume and howls like a fool. Hopefully the promised TV series will feature the young Vader as we know him losing his Anakin side and becoming more evil, a kind of Wonder Years: the Dark Side Cometh.
Ultimately, there are moments to love but the disappointment overwhelms them. Star Wars never had great dialogue but the three prequels take it down to such a ridiculous level.

He walks like he's abotu to shit his costume and howls like a fool. That's because Shit Eyes (hehe it's catching on) wasn't quite tall enough, so they had to have stilts built into the suit. Originally they were gonna have a body double, but Shit Eyes wanted to play dress-up as Vader -can't blame him really.

Nah. The Phantom Menace was easily the worst. I would agree this is the best of the three prequels.
It was less bogged down with the terrible, earnest, convoluted plotlines which smothered the two previous efforts. The real problem was Lucas being trapped into making three films - there just wasn't enough story to justify it.
A bit of reworking and Episode III would have done nicely on its own without any of the Jar Jar Binks, Pod Racing bollocks.
Ewan McGregor and the emporer ("I am the evil emporer and I'll destroy you all") were excellent and good enough to hold the whole thing together despite the dodgy script and woeful Anakin/Padme nonsense.
You get the feeling Lucas is embarrased by the love scenes and just wants to get them out of the way, like a ten-year-old boy watching the film and poking his tongue out - bleeergh!
Massacre of Jedi well done. Space battle suitabley epic. Fight between Vader and Kenobi full on.
I give it 6 out of 10. I can't even remember enough about the other two to give them marks.
