Just watched the first two episodes of the newly-resurrected Family Guy and nearly pissed myself several times. Good to see the evil monkey, greased-up deaf guy and Jake with the upside-down face all making appearances. I really hope it gets the kind of run it deserves this time!
So yeah, anyone else seen it? Any favourite FG moments?

Well, I can tell you where I didn't see it.
I certainly, most definitely DID NOT see it on a DVD a friend gave me composed of illegally downloaded mpeg files.
No siree...
That DVD, had it existed, also has the first two episodes of American Dad on it, which I haven't watched yet. It looks like a carbon-copy of FG to be honest, but if it's funny I won't care ;D

I definately didn't download it using one of those fangled Bit Torrent things, Promise!
I definately havn't seen episode 1, if you were to tell me Passion Of The Christ 2 I really wouldn't have the foggiest what you were talking about.

if you were to tell me Passion Of The Christ 2 I really wouldn't have the foggiest what you were talking about. How about Pinocchio!? "Are you sure you don't want to lie about it? I mean, you can if you want to." "No, it was me." "Are you sure?" And the bit when everyone's awake from the creaking of Peter and Lois' bed, except Stewie who dreams the creakings of a rocking chair on a ranch and says: "It's good to have land". It's just those moments...

That Pinochio bit is properly dark! If I'd seen it,I'd have been slightly disturbed.

Yeah I know! These first two eps have been "edgy" even by Family Guy standards - there's bestiality and incest gags in the second one!

I'm warming to American Dad. It seems to get funnier with each episode.
American Dad himself is the only funny character most of the time, with the rest of them playing the straight man. But it works godammit and that's all that matters.

I watched the first two episodes of American Dad yesterday evening. For the first ten minutes I couldn't believe the same people that made Family Guy made something this stilted and un-funny. And yet... I did get quite a lot of laughs out of it in the end. I have a feeling that it could be pretty good once it "warms up".

That bit with "the aviator" in the second episode cracked me up (it probably wasn't that funny, but that sort of thing makes me laugh) - in fact, it was better than the newest series of family guy, which seems to be getting a bit tired. It needs more Stewie and less everybody else.
