I went to the cinema last night, we saw Be Cool. It was awfull. Awfull! Everyone involved seems to not just 'phone in' their performance, but send it via their 2-Way Sidekick -a device whose existence I had no knowledge of untill seeing the immense ammount of product placemet in this film. The camera even panned down slightly in one bit, just so that the logo was center-screen.
I think every cliche in the Big Book of Cliches was thrown in. There's one scene where Travolta and Big Mouth from Aerosmith discuss the meaning of an Aerosmith song, I was practically scooping my eyes out with my Ben'n'Jerry's spoon. They even do a crap dance sequence with Travolta and Uma Thurman -soundtracked by the Black Eyed fucking Peas! Andre 3000 was crap in it as well.
Had to get drunk and then spend the night shooting things on the playstation just to cleanse my mind of the nonsense. Off to see Downfall tonight, a German film about Hitler's last days. Hopefully it'll dislodge the bad taste of Be Cool.

It looks like a pile of crap. You couldn't drag me in to see it. Not when ROBOTS is on next door. Woooo!

So what did you think of Downfall Monopot?
My housemate saw it, but was fairly critical. His arguments against it did make alot of sense though. That the *real*approach this film adopts is not the most effective way way of handling the subject of this film and that it was all kind of obvious, and so not very thought provoking.
I've decided to go and see it for myself.

Das Untertag, or whatever the German is, has been put on hold untill next week. Waiting for my brother to get payed so he can do stuff (sshhhh, don't tell him i owe him some money). Yeh i felt annoyed about paying to see Be Cool, didn't mind the original tho. Got a Star Wars trailer before the film started, which was nerdily exciting. Saw Robots with the missus t'other week. Story's not great, it's definately not Incredible but the whole world they inhabit is so well realised it's worth seing.
