... it's on soon.
I remember watching this and feeling totally screwed up for hours. I love/hate those paranoia nothing-is-real movies. A Beautiful Mind did it too. I thought it was a pretty faithful remake of the original ("Open Your Eyes").
Hmmm.

i hated vanilla sky, as i saw the original first.
and a beautiful mind is the most hate inducing film ever, awful stuff.
what's happened to your taste? the films that make me sit up for hours are stuff like the Shining and Apoc Now.

I really like Vanilla Sky, so much so that i bought it! I like films like that too. ones that leave you with something to think about for hours after rather than just leaving the film and saying "right lets get drunk then!"
Havent seen Beautiful Mind though. worth it?

If you like paranoia inducing, reality-unravelling, existential panic IS ANYTHING REAL type stuff, then yeah, A Beautiful Mind is worth watching, the schmaltz comes as a side order rather than a sticky smothering layer so you should be OK.. Also - watch Dead Man on Friday, or the set the video.

I saw the Spanish one and quite liked it, but it was surprisingly Hollywood.
I'll watch Vanilla Sky to see if it's surprisingly European.

It's quite a faithful adaptation I think. With pretty people.
