Do people think these are a good idea or would you rather see the band play a normal gig?
Which ones have you been to?

I haven't been too any.
I've particularly regretted not seeing the Dinosaur Jr and Mastodon ones.
If the album is THAT good (classic/semi-classic status), I think it's an excellent idea.

I've seen the Mudhoney one. I'm gutted I didn't see the Lemonheads doing 'It's A Shame About Ray' or B&S doing '...Sinister'.
The Mudhoney one was fucking superb, it really was. The band were smiling, the crowd knew all the words...it was great. And not at all boring, as I thought it might be.

I've seen The Lemonheads one and the Low one. Both were very good and really felt like an event rather than a normal gig.
The Lemonheads played almost all my favourite tracks that aren't on that album afterwards too.

The Lemonheads were fantastic and I forgotten just how good those tracks were. The only downside was having being seated only standing when popping off to the toilet and lean against a filthy window to be able to smoke some herbal jazz!!
Would have loved to have seen the fannies play bandwagonesque recently though...

I think its a good idea but only as one off gigs, they are right not to tour it round the country. I would like to see these bands do these albums:
Built to spill - Perfect from now on Modest Mouse - Lonesome crowded west Centro-Matic - Re-do the stacks
