MOGWAI PREVIEW NEW ALBUM WITH LIVE DATES IN JANUARY, INCLUDING A 5 NIGHT RUN AT LONDON’S ICA
SINGLE ‘FRIEND OF THE NIGHT’ RELEASED 30TH JANUARY ON PIAS
ALBUM TO BE RELEASED IN MARCH
Mogwai have finished work on their fifth studio album, the follow up to 2004’s ‘Happy Songs For Happy People’. The album was recorded in the band’s new Castle of Doom studio in Glasgow with producer Tony Doogan. Fans in Dublin, Belfast and London will have the opportunity to hear, upfront of release, tracks from the new record at a series of live dates in January. A single ‘Friend Of The Night’ will also be released in the UK on 30th January (CD, 7” and digital download)

CHARITY CONCERTS IN NOVEMBER
Mogwai play 2 charity shows in Scotland in November. They are in aid of the society to welcome refugee's to Glasgow and the mental health awareness charity One In Four. The venues and dates are Monday the 28th of November at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh and Tuesday the 29th of November at The Arches in Glasgow. Support comes from The Magnificents in Edinburgh and Hugh Reed in Glasgow. Tickets for the Edinburgh show are £15 and are available form www.ticketweb.co.uk <http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/> and the usual outlets. Tickets for Glasgow are £10 and are available form The Arches Box Office by calling 0870 240 7528.
