Spitz, London - Mon 24 Oct In Association With Plan B Magazine Final Fantasy + The Dead Texan + Elephant Micah (solo)Final Fantasy, the solo project of Owen Pallett, here plays a date supporting his first album Has A Good Home, released in July 2005 on Tomlab. As well as being stringman for Arcade Fire (he supported them on their UK tour in May), he's guitarist and vocalist from Toronto's Les Mouches as well as a member of Internet, The Jim Guthrie Band, Picastro, ex-Hidden Cameras and ex-King Tut. In Final Fantasy he sets aside the fractured, ultra-dynamic panic-folk of Les Mouches in favour of clever arrangement, catchy hooks and euphoric melody. Performing by himself with only his violin and looping pedal Owen manages to build up the most complex and wonderful songs. Tales of ancient burial grounds underneath the CN Tower, songs that eat their creators and Freedom 55 Insurance policies are woven into an epic and mythic from derived from the years of nerdy Teenage role-playing games. Final Fantasy is both more beautiful and more unique than most thought possible. www.finalfantasyeternal.com£tbc EDIT: tickets selling fast apparently - www.wegottickets.com/event/6343

This is very good news. I'm going to get a ticket right now. He was looking pretty dapper the other day...white shirt, white trousers, black belt.
