Of the family it obviously has to be Homer. He's just so... human.

Yeah Futurama was good - but it needed more Zoidberg. It was nothing without that guy.

I never really got into Futurama. the episodes I've seen are alright, but don't induce the belly laughs that Simpsons does.
Homer gets my vote. Practically every line he has is brilliant.

Ever notice how people of *ahem* a certain age always like Lisa the most?

not really......I am 21. I guess alot of females like her. I love Homer but i guess i can relate to lisa the most. I would most like to go for a drink with Homer though. Would most like to go to an art show or play or cinema with lisa.

Hmm, perhaps I will have to make my generalisation even more sweeping.

oooooh you little bitch.
Although, thinking about it... As you are watching this dysfunctional family, Lisa is the little voice that comes in and sorta makes the whole thing tongue in cheek with her detached perspective. She's like the conscience of the show. Maybe that appeals to a certain type of person. "a certain age"?

the same kind of generalisations could be made about those that prefer Homer - Beer loving, youngish males?

I think Lisa is cute...like when Bart gets lavished with praise for doing fuck-all and Lisa sort of goes "grrrrr".
I find Marge annoying....in an endearing sort of way. I think mage is supposed to be a bit annoying.......
Homer: So I realized that being with my family is more important than being cool.
Marge: Am I cool, kids?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Good. I'm glad. And that's what makes me cool—not caring, right?
Bart and Lisa: No.
Marge: Well, how the hell do you be cool? I feel like we've tried everything here.
Homer: Wait, Marge. Maybe if you're truly cool, you don't need to be told you're cool.
Bart: Well, sure you do.
Lisa: How else would you know?

Jasper, why does no-one mention Jasper. He's just fantastic. "was that me? or was that you?" is a great line of his that makes no sense without context.
Futurama was great. 10 times better than newer Simpsons. The proffessor was the best character.
Guess I just like my old guys in animation.

I prefer Futurama by miles. They took it off the air before it jumped the shark. The recent Simpsons is increasingly odd and disjointed with really clunky devices (like an aardvark) being a link between two short scenes that are basically an excuse for one gag.
Having said that, it's still better than most brainwash TV, and i voted maggie from the list because of the thing with the monobrow baby, she saved Homer from drowning, she shot Mr Burns, and she falls over a lot.
I like Gill though because he keeps trying to be optimistic even though everything in his life is shit. Maybe i like seeing other people suffer
