Ummm... sorry. I say and read names wrong all the time, and I don't know why. I'd been calling Biffy Clyro Biffy Cy-cla-ro for ages until I said it to SCL and she laughed at me. I read through whole books thinking the characters are called something they're not.

Mee too. I had to stop talking about Harry Potter, it was just embarresing. I am also guilty of thinking monpot is mon-o-pot. I always read Seamus, as sea-mus.

You never did respond to the DiS thread about what your name is. That's because I'm a Man O'Mystery

I remember when we studied Romeo & Juliette in English, this girl kept reading the word 'lamentable' as 'lamb-en-table' if you understand my stab at phonetics.
Made me laugh.

There was a girl on my course at uni who was dyslexic and she used to pronounce words wrong all the time in amusing ways. Like paradigm as "para-dig-um". I feel justified in laughing at her because she was kind of thick, weird and annoying as well as being dyslexic.
Someone once called at her room and walked into a birthday party she was holding for her teddy bear-shaped bag. That's not normal is it?

So, erm, Seamus ISN'T pronounced 'sea-mus'?
How is it pronounced?
Fuck, I also thought Hermione was pronounced 'Hermy-own-ee' until the films came out.
I think I'm retarded.
