It's a thread designed to let Traynor list some obscure bands, thus revealing his superior "indie knowledge", and then get indignant when I point this out. Like the French bands thread on DiS. I wouldn't worry ;D Aside from this quote

I have lost track of what you are on about.
Traynor is always doing 'look how obscure I am' threads disguised as 'have you heard these cool bands' threads. It seems to be some kind of hobby.

Oh and don't forget long and preachy threads about how we should all be listening to music on tapes and through walkmans AND how you can make a fatal mistake in listening to music that doesn't suit your mood.

I must get instructions then on how to adequately listen to music. Obviously there is more than putting the tape...I mean CD in the boom box...I mean CD player and pressing play.

Yeah. I mean - from the sounds of it, you've forgotten to soundproof your house and put your life on hold. For a start.

I just don't know - what is the world coming to when people joke around on messageboards and buy I-pods and have I-Tunes on their computers. It just breaks my heart

So, how did you go about promoting your CD compilation? I think I understand your daft, almost ironic, comments about what I've said here and there. There's no need to worry.

Mr Traynor, I'm going to give you some support on the "listening to music" front. I don't agree with a lot of what you've said - I mean, are mp3s really that bad? - but I actually do believe that to fully appreciate a piece of music you need to give it your undivided. I think that's an important point.

Haha.. when doing the commute-with-minidisc thing, I get really irritated if my mind wanders off to other things and I realise that I haven’t truly listened to the last few tracks – so have to skip back to hear them again talulah gosh shop assistants nancy sinatra Yay! Multiple blasts from the past! Reminded me that I have a soft spot for Heavenly…. haven’t listened to them for ages(quickly goes into hiding in case prole happens to be passing and starts slagging off Sarah bands again)
