I take a swing at the cryptic sometimes but more often than not it ends up with a flying newspaper. I only finish the quick crossword about half the time, never mind that goddamn cryptic! We need Raanraals to show us his workings.

Cryptic crosswords are brilliant. They're just so English - really eccentric, full of puns, conventions and charades. Writing them is a real art form. Can't get Raanraals' one... copper is usually "p", German "die" or "der"... "consumed with" suggests they're placed within a synonym for "happiness"... I have a feeling it may be something rather filthy, though
