Hey, Monpot's BSP review has given me an idea... would any of you guys be interested in doing short reviews, to be published together as a 'reader reviews' section on the site?

As much as I like the idea of telling you to fuck right off, i have to go with "yes". Even though I've never written a review before.

I wanted to be a writer since I was about 13, I used to make little hand made magazines about computer games and stuff... my careers advisor said I shouldn't do it... "too competitive"... and if they couldn't fulfil their dreams, then how could anybody else? Wankers. So guess what, I put artist as my second choice. Ha. I don't think the "careers advisor" would have had anything useful to say unless I had said shop assistant/ nurse/ teacher / anonymous marketing person/ army.

I think the only thing I've put in my DiS weblog is my thoughts on gigs I've just attended.

I told my careers advisor I wanted to work in film or TV, which isn't that big a thing to say if your a Welsh-speaker in Cardiff, which has a fairly large Welsh-language media community. But the careers advisor didn't give much advice. Fuck him.
My mate just went in and said "Movie Star, Rock Star, or Porn Star" -didn't get much advice on that either!
Actually, in some sort of defense, my cousin works for Career Paths and she sent me some usefull-ish info t'other day -even tho I hadn't asker her to, bless.

Yeah, I wanted to do my school work experience in a photography darkroom but my careers advisor wouldn't let me because it was too anti-social. I've got my own now, in my basement. That'll learn him.
I have just selected the fuck right off option in error. It would be a terrible mistake for me to write reviews, but I'd enjoy reading everyone elses. Might vote again.
Doh. None of them are suitable. But yeah...good idea.

I'd love to review. I am great at it. I did one yesterday that came in at over 1000 words. I am an idiot sometimes.

I wanted to sell them too. We were such capitalist kids! I made comic books called "superfly" when I was about 8 and I wanted to sell them in the shops but my mum wouldn't let me either. Goddamn it, channelled right those sparks could have been a multi-media empire by now... *grumnblecareersadvisorsgrumble* If anyone has something they wanna write about send me an email... if it doesn't clash with anyone else can probably arrange guest lists for certain bands...

oh i had a comic book too. it was called 'Buzz and Worm' and it was about a bee (Buzz) and a worm (Worm). they were best friends (although they fell out once) and they had several magic adventures. one included Worm licking a piece of metal and saying, "mmm...ice cream flavour".

Oh kaaay.
I like writing reviews becasue I have an enormous ego and think people should be forced to listen to my opinions. Listen to me. Listen!
So yes, I would very much like to do some reviews, only not now cos I am at work. Ta.

I have already written some reviews, they are on their way to you later today. Which is good, cos I've got to justify my space in the Staffroom Al I ever wanted to be was a journalist. I love writing. It keeps me alive.
