For some reason that's reminded me of this Indian take-away in the Canton area of Cardiff, which has the worst name ever.

Someone, in their infinite wisdom, decided that the best way to attract customers, was to have the take-away named;

Best Kebab in glasgow is great. however, i've never actually dared to have a kebab from there, but their chicken pakora is heaven. it is a really weird place though. it's completely tatty, but has all this elaborate plasterwork in it and possibly once-posh looking green stripey wallpaper. and all the graffiti in the toilets looks like it was done by the same person - there's loads of it, but all in the same handwriting...

There's a place in Wolves called 'The Flaming Turk'. After the England-Turkey game it had loads of Police outside it with riot gear on. That was funny.

I'm a fan of "Kenssy Fried Chicken" (Kentucky and a misspelled Tennessee?)

and there's a turkish run pizza place near me with such delights as "Spanaki", "Cheeky Chicken" and "Italian Voke", which inexplicably has Chinese Chicken on it.

They also sell "Bannoffi! Bannoffi!" - try ordering THAT over the phone.

The kebabby/pizza/burger place near my house is called "It's Pizza Time" -I always wonder if they named it during Turtle-mania.

I've got an excellent Pakistani home cooking place close to me called The Frontier Cafe. Food is real home cooking and damn good.

There's an asian sweet shop close to me. It used to be a takeaway and I got the worst takeaway I've ever had from it, a vegetable biryani which was so minging I wouldn't even give it to the dog. It's somewhat appropriately called the Kaka Sweet Shop.

If the Glasgow Best Kebab shop you're talking about is the one up from Avalanche Records, that used to be a chippy. One of my female friends, admitedly rather abrasive, complained about something in there one night and they produced a cricket bat from behind the counter and knocked one of her teeth out.

I love Indian sweet shops. My Mum's step-mum lives in East Ham in London and they have a lush one there. They don't do ordinary takeaways but their samosas are the best I've ever tasted (and I've had 'em all over the country ).

Little Indian cafe near the seafront in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Best samosas ever. I can recommend it.
